About

The official Microsoft Learn MCP server gives an assistant direct access to Microsoft's technical documentation: Azure, .NET, Microsoft 365, Windows, Power Platform, SQL Server and more.

Three tools:
- microsoft_docs_search — semantic search across Microsoft Learn, returning the most relevant passages.
- microsoft_code_sample_search — finds official code samples by topic and programming language.
- microsoft_docs_fetch — reads a full documentation page as markdown when a short excerpt is not enough.

Typical use: "How do I configure managed identity for an Azure Function?" — the assistant searches Learn, reads the right page and answers with current, sourced steps instead of guessing.

Who it is for: developers and IT admins who work with the Microsoft stack and want answers grounded in the official docs.

Notes: free, no sign-in required. Maintained by Microsoft.
